About Me

Hi, my name is Nic and I’m pleased you found this site, why am I pleased you may ask? Well the truth of the matter is I’m a 50+ year old man who went through major changes in the past few years, being separated and losing my job.  Now, I have a wonderful new girlfriend, a great new job, and I have made changes in my life that I want to share with you and encourage you to do the same.
One day I saw a photo of myself on vacation in Florida and when I looked at it there was one thing that really stood out, my tummy, my gut, my belly; call it what you will but it shocked me, in fact it drove me to do something about it, I decided to get fit, hence fitnic50 is where you are now.
I don’t claim to have all the answers but what I do claim is that I can help you, guide you and push you in the right direction, I’ve lost nearly 30lbs, and I know that is some cases this is a small amount, but if I can lose thirty so can you, in fact you can lose even more if you approach it the right way.
Being 50 plus and starting to de exercise is tough, the absolute first thing you must do is go and see your doctor, tell them what you want to do, give them an idea of the type of exercise you want to do, get them to check your heart, blood pressure and listen to their advice, and mine start slowly, and to start with finish every “workout” wanting to do a little more, this way you will continue to feel good about what you’re doing.
